Jim and Emily from Jim Ruiz Set will temporarily fill in for The Starfolk’s Jacqueline Ultan and Stephen Ittner at this show; which will be a trial run of our London/Amsterdam line up later in the month.  It will be our first time at The Chapel, can’t wait to check out this venue!

We are so excited to be part of this fantastic festival celebrating 20 years of Chickfactor!  Brian and Allison of The Starfolk will be traveling to London with our friends Jim and Emily from Jim Ruiz Set, and will be backing each other up for this London gig.  The full line up of amazing bands and essential ticket information will be announced soon.

One of our favorite music venues is the intimate Aster Cafe in Minneapolis, where we got to play with one of our favorite bands, Jim Ruiz Set on 4/03/12.  Thanks to Mary Jindra for snapping some photos.

Check out Brian’s Owl pattern guitar strap.   Jeff Tweedy has the same one.  We were flummoxed when the strap was subsequently named after Jeff Tweedy.  Souldier makes cool vintage straps, but they know hoot about Owls!  It was a fun show with lots of great friends.

When director Todd Cobery asked Brian and Allison from The Starfolk to create a score for his short film Good Morning, Beautiful, we had no idea the ride he’d be taking our music on.  The film was an official selection of more than a dozen festivals, and the winner of Boston Underground and Arizona Underground Film Festivals!  Check out the freaky trailer, and grab a free download the featured track “Matter” by The Starfolk.
