What’s an Evening With Friends?
Each EVENING WITH FRIENDS is hosted by a musician that then hand-selects other songwriters + friends to join them for the evening. All musicians start the night on stage together, taking turns playing songs, and the evening ends with a solo set from the host. These nights are amazing for being introduced to new artists, watching collaboration between musicians, and being part of something truly unique.  Jonathan Sunde from Daredevil Christopher Wright is the host of this Thursday’s performance.

LIVE LETTERS hosts small concerts in a private loft in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis. Because it’s a private residence we only provide the address to ticket buyers. We know it’s a little strange to buy a ticket to a stranger’s living room, but we promise that we’re not that strange and that the unique live music experience is beyond worth it. Our next gig is a doozy.  The Starfolk playing alongside all of our Korda Records label mates: The Ocean Blue, Jim Ruiz Set, and Typsy Panthre.  Korda Records is a Minneapolis record label cooperative that The Starfolk started along with these great bands who are also great friends.  Come early for Typsy Panthre, their first live show ever.  Stay on for a rare local performance by The Ocean Blue, Jim Ruiz Set’s CD release show, and after party hosted by 89.3 The Current’s DJ Jake Rudh!

The Starfolk House Concert in Maple Plain, MN 12/16/12

The Sun Dog House Concert Series creates a unique environment for audiences to take in music, while eating and socializing with the musicians themselves.  All donations go directly to the musicians to support their work.  Bring a dish to share, and see The Starfolk in a new light!
